Matt Berg has worked campaigns at all levels — from local city council races to Presidential elections — for more than a decade. Prior to joining The Fairness Project, Matt helped Tom Perez become the first Latino to Chair the Democratic National Committee. During the 2016 cycle, he served as the National Director of Ballot Access and Delegate Operations for Bernie Sanders’s primary run, and led the voter protection effort in his home state of Minnesota during the general election. He has also worked as Counsel to Commissioner Ellen Weintraub at the Federal Election Commission, the Deputy Director of State Affairs and Policy Counsel at Justice at Stake, and held various roles on several campaigns in Wisconsin.
Matt resides in Washington, D.C. He holds a law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, and a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
