Deputy Campaigns Director
Alexa Sheryll has worked on local, state and federal campaigns for over a decade in urban, suburban and rural districts. As Deputy Campaigns Director for The Fairness Project, Alexa is passionately engaged in the fight for economic equality and knowing that creative, data-driven, coordinated campaigns can accomplish fare wages, paid sick leave and access to health care for those Americans who need it most.
Prior to joining The Fairness Project, Alexa managed congressional campaigns in New York and Florida. Over the years, Alexa has made her mark on Long Island politics. As Field Director of the county coordinated campaign, she was instrumental in getting the first African American elected countywide, in an area that voted for Trump 52%-45%. In 2016, Alexa managed one of the largest and effective Congressional field programs in the country for Zephyr Teachout’s Congressional race in the Hudson Valley.
Alexa lives just outside NYC, on Long Island. She graduated from The University of Albany with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, where she also founded the university’s first co-ed acapella group. She continues to have a passion for music and attends as many concerts and Broadway shows as her schedule permits.
